Big Changes!!!

So here is 9 months in one post!! I found out in March that we were expecting our third baby!! We were thrilled as can be and thats where I am starting with this post!!

Congratulations to Steve's brother Curtis who graduated from BYU in April!! You can't tell here but anyone who knows me thru pregnancy knows how sick I get and that night was one I'll never forget in terms of how sick it made me!! No more CPK!!

Summer Fun

and spending alot of time at the pool, they were basically fish!!

We are so thrilled to have our sweet little baby join our family!! She is such a perfect little baby, big cheeks and all!! We just love her and could not be more thrilled that she is finally here!!

She has these cheeks that are to die for!! I knew by how uncomfortable I was that she was a big baby and I was right!! Almost 9 pounds, thank you Steve (he was 9lbs 2oz)!! She is such a mix of my other girls. She has Maddie's eye's and Hailey's nose and mouth!! She is the missing link between my other girls!

Christmas Catch Up!!

Alright, I am officially horrible at blogging!! Although in my defense, I did leave my camera at my moms house since Christmas. :) This years Christmas was so much fun!! Maddie and Hailey are both at an age where everything is so exciting and fun, and they actually got the concept of Santa Clause and were not terrified of him. That makes it so much more enjoyable when all you do is wrap presents for 2 weeks straight!!! Their reactions to their presents were just so cute and sweet for the most part... Santa forgot to take our note we made him on the cookies, so we had to have a looong discussion with Hailey, who was just devastated mind you, explaining that Santa has to deliver a lot of toys so he sometimes forgets things...note to Santa next year, don't forget note!!

This is Hailey at her preschool christmas program...
For those of you who know my Hailey, she is definitely not a shy or quiet
person by any means. But look at that scowl!!! She did not want to be up there at all!!
She would not smile, sing or look up at us, and was on the verge of tears the
entire program. Talk about stage fright!!

WORST MOTHER EVER!!!

Okay, I really shouldn't be sharing this, but I was talking to my friend and she informed me that this incident was SO blog worthy, but BIG disclaimer first: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!!! So last week I had an appointment with my OB/GYN to get my i.u.d. taken out. I was not looking forward to it at all, because lets face it, it wasn't a picnic getting it in so I had a good idea as to how it would feel to be getting it out. Well, that week Steve and I decided to get sick with strep throat, and my poor Hailey had some kind of gunk, leaving Maddie to be the only healthy Barton around. My nice neighbor took Maddie for me as I was leaving for my appointment, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving a sick Hailey so I brought her with me. I THOUGHT I was being a good parent not inflicting my sick child on someone else. WRONG!! We get to the appt just me and Hailey- mind you I have packed up books, markers, treats, you name it I had it to keep her busy while mommy was getting her "business" taken care of. The nurse gets a little hospital gown out and tells me to undress and wait, so Hailey is coloring and I am waiting for the Dr to come. When she finally comes I find out that they had scheduled me for my yearly as well as my IUD removal, oh joy!!! At least I brought all these fun things for Hailey so she wont even notice, YEAH RIGHT!! As soon as the doctor puts me in my stirrups and turns the flashlight on Hailey is mesmerized. She would not move, she wouldn't stop staring at the doctor and me in "all my glory"!!!! I couldn't really move, so I told Hailey to come hold my hand to get her to stop staring down there, but she wouldn't budge!!!!! AWKWARD!!! The nurse tries to step in front of Hailey to block her view, but that doesn't stop my little Hailey, no no, she just stepped around her to get a better visual!!! The whole time I am just mortified thinking how am I going to explain this to my little girl? She is going to be scarred for life! My Dr probably wants to call child services on me for subjecting my baby to this mess!!! Well as soon as the Dr is done and leaves, wouldn't you know Hailey resumes coloring, acting as if nothing happened. I'm thinking great, crisis averted -whew! Well as I finish getting dressed and grab the diaper bag, Hailey stops and looks at the long flashlight and says, "mom don't you need to take this so you can look at your bumbum?" HELP!!! How do I respond to such a statement???At this point I am humiliated trying not to laugh and to cry, so I just say honey lets go get ice cream, and that was that. Deflection accomplished!!! Ahhh the joys of Motherhood....

The Witches Tea!! This was the most amazing party I've ever been to, Amy and Noriane were incredible, that you for all the hard work and fun times!! Jaclynn, Hollie, Me, and Lindsey in our witches skirts we made!!!

While the men are away, the witches will play!!!

Me and Megan, she won as the cutest witch and I agree!!

Are they not the cutest in their soccer gear!!!? Still haven't won a game, but they play in style!!!

Last boating trip of the season, Megan was the only one brave enough to get in (the water was 60 degree's!!!!!)

My Family

I'm new to the blogging world and so we'll see how it goes!! This is my family, Maddie is 4, and Hailey is 3. Steve and I have been married for 6.5 years and still loving it!! Steve is a Contractor and builds homes, and am a mother!! But I have my escape is through tennis, and after these last 2 weeks I am working towards the US Open (I wish!!)
